Introduction

Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad Memorial Committee was constituted by the U.P Government under the aegis of National Integration Department in the year 1976. At present the Committee is working independently under the control of Language Department, U.P. Government.

The aim and Objective of the Committee are follows:

• To provide financial assistance to Indian Citizens for the publication of their high standard Urdu manuscript.
• To organize Late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad Memorial Committee lecture, inviting renowned intellectuals on the important literary and national topics.
• To provide financial assistance to Ph.D/D.Lit Scholars for the promotion of Urdu Language and Literature with the purpose of national integration.
• To take any other action with the purpose of national integration to ensure the promotion of Urdu language possible.
• To establish and award gold medal for the meritorious students in the memory of late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad with the provision as formulated by the committee.
• Any other work which is useful and necessary for the completion of above mention objectives.
• To award gold medal scholarship to graduate/post graduate topper students of Urdu, Arabic and Persian.
• To provide financial assistance to Ph.D/D.Lit Scholars of Urdu, Arabic and Persian for the preparation of their thesis work.

The office of the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmad Memorial Committee is located on the fourth floor of U.P. Urdu Academy Building.
